Postcards- Beginning of the Covid
When the COVID pandemic first started and began to spread, it was very difficult to get a plane ticket. Many people were trying to book flights back home, so many seats were sold out. I remember struggling a lot to get a plane ticket and finally returning to Korea. Inspired by that experience and the loneliness, emptiness, and disconnection that came with living in a foreign country, I created this postcard to preserve the actual plane ticket I managed to get after all the hardships.

Postcards- Social Distancing
During the COVID pandemic and self-quarantine period, I felt a sense of despair from the stagnant and boring life, so I decided to take up a new hobby called "croquis" to overcome it. I challenged myself to draw one picture a day. Through this challenge, I realized that the lively people and environments in old photos contrasted greatly with the black and white daily life of the present. Seeing this disconnect with reality, I felt the preciousness of the "Daily/ Everyday" that we had lost and decided to leave my artwork as a postcard to record it.
